As many of you have likely heard, there has been a coup in Honduras. During the early morning hours two significant events occurred. First, the military removed President Zelaya from power and he is now in Costa Rica. Second, the field school students from Johnson County safely flew home. Obviously, these events are unrelated but the co-directors are happy to know that their students are home safe.
We are now tuning in to news outlets to find out what's happening beyond the Jesus de Otoro valley. The project house is calm and quiet. We are
attempting to get some analysis done before we head home later this week.

Hey Bill, Miranda, and Katia. I hope you all are safe with the events taking place down there. The rest of us made it back to Kansas City in one piece, safe and sound. I wish you all a safe journey home this week. The trip was amazing and I have nothing but good things to say about it and the experience gained from it. I am already missing Honduras. Anyways, safe travels and do not watch too much Battlestar Galactica without me, haha :)
